I am incredibly annoyed at the lack of respect our President is given. Most people, including the media address him as “Obama” instead of “PRESIDENT Obama.” Not to mention the conservative and republican consistent jabs at him. Even while drawing the sketch people felt the need to let me know they were republican or that they didn’t like him (as if I cared) but a majority of people loved him. I did this sketch mostly at home because there is something that feels incredibly strange when drawing in public. Everyone comes up, unannounced and they boldly stare. Parents bring their kids up as if to say “Look at the FREAK drawing pictures sweetie (lol). Seriously I hate for people to see my work before I’m done. I saw Jill Scott at Starbucks yesterday while finishing this pic and she really liked it. I was more in awe that she was casually in Starbucks having one of those frozen coffee drinks. People constantly ask me, “how do you capture the spirit so well” I don’t know the answer to that. I just pour all of my energy on that paper both negative and positive. I am confident Obama will win the next election.
